London pubs

swiss cottage

The Swiss Cottage underground station is named after a vaguely ‘Bavarian’ pub nearby erected by an enterprising North London builder for homesick German immigrants in the late 19thc.

It was later demolished for road widening and replaced by a 1960s version that looked like a large bungalow.

Our third Swiss Cottage on the site is now about 20 years old.

Our client could not afford to make our symbolic pub entirely from oak but here is that all-oak design, some of which was actually built.
